Wall-mount CPR aid — placement and the one-minute walk

Aim for about a one-minute round-trip walk to start CPR while someone retrieves the AED and calls 995 — visibility and access beat locked cupboards.

Placement is an ops problem, not a branding problem

A device that is locked in a cupboard or only at reception does not help a studio floor, kitchen, or wet deck when seconds matter. Facility planning should ask: can staff start high-quality CPR within about a one-minute round-trip walk while someone retrieves the automated external defibrillator (AED) and calls emergency medical services (EMS)? In Singapore, call 995 for a medical emergency.

What wall-mount readiness looks like

Visible and reachable — not behind a locked door during peak hours.
Zone coverage — lobby AED coverage does not automatically cover back-of-house, multi-floor studios, or staff areas.
Grab-and-use role clarity — who starts compressions, who fetches the AED, who calls 995.
