How CPRAIDR® works — training and emergency modes
One dual-use CPR assistant: short practice with feedback, then the same device for real-time guidance in an emergency. Explained without overclaims.
Pronunciation and manufacturer
CPRAIDR® is pronounced “see-pee-are-aider” (CPR-aider). It is made by VitalSigns Innovation AB (Stockholm, Sweden). CPRAID (ERW Holdings Pte. Ltd.) is the Singapore reseller — we are not the manufacturer.

What the feedback covers
Per VitalSigns public product description, CPRAIDR® provides real-time feedback / guidance on:
- Compression depth
- Rhythm / rate (built-in metronome)
- Full chest release between compressions
- Ventilation cues as part of the CPR sequence
We do not claim it “ensures perfect CPR every time.” It is a training and support tool with audio and visual guidance — not a guarantee of clinical outcomes.
Training mode
Place the device on the included Compression Pad (or a standard manikin if you use one). Practise short, frequent sessions with the companion app coach. VitalSigns states compression practice does not require a full manikin when using the Compression Pad.
The app is an AI-driven technique coach — not a diagnostic system and not a treatment method. VitalSigns states clinical studies are planned and that existing bachelor / survey work should not be read as complete medical evidence.

Emergency mode
Pull from a wall mount, place on an adult patient’s chest, activate with one button, and follow audio + light guidance until professional help arrives. Intended patient use: adults 18+ — not children or infants as patients (manufacturer FAQ).
Placement planning for facilities: aim for about a one-minute round-trip walk (~30-second jog) to start CPR while someone retrieves the AED and calls 995. See wall-mount placement.
Alongside defibrillators
CPRAIDR® is not an AED and does not replace defibrillation. VitalSigns states it can be used in parallel with defibrillators, does not affect defibrillator function, and need not be removed. Read AED and CPRAIDR®.
Evidence framing (if asked)
Stockholm University bachelor theses have studied the device (formerly referred to as CPR Guide). VitalSigns summarises improvements in compression quality and confidence, and states these studies should not be interpreted as complete medical evidence. Clinical studies are planned. We do not claim proven survival outcomes.
