Short practice beats rare, heavy drills
Most facility teams already know the SOP. The operational gap is often skill decay between infrequent courses — and the logistics of dragging a full manikin into every short refresh.
VitalSigns states the CPRAIDR® training package includes a Compression Pad so staff can practise compressions without a full manikin. A manikin remains useful if you also want to practise ventilations.

Dual-use: same device for practice and emergency
CPRAIDR® is a dual-use CPR assistant:
- Training mode — Compression Pad + app-based technique coach for short, frequent drills on depth, rate/rhythm, and full chest release.
- Emergency mode — wall grab, place on an adult chest, one-button activation, audio and light guidance until professional help arrives.
The app coaches technique; it is not a diagnostic or treatment system. VitalSigns states CPRAIDR® is a training and support tool, not a medical treatment method.

- Commercial CPR trainers — add dual-use hardware to existing course kits (partner terms via contact).
Alongside AEDs — not instead of them
Early CPR and early defibrillation are both part of the chain of survival. Immediate CPR can double or triple the chance of survival after cardiac arrest (American Heart Association / European Resuscitation Council public messaging) — that is planning context, not a CPRAIDR® efficacy claim.
VitalSigns states CPRAIDR® can be used in parallel with defibrillators without interfering. Details: AED and CPRAIDR®.
