Facility CERT CPR readiness — placement and practice

For Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) leads, Facility / Fire Safety Managers (FSM), and ops owners who already run AED programmes — and need multi-zone CPR readiness without heavy drill logistics.

Readiness language for CERT and FSM teams

This page is about operational readiness: walk-time, zone coverage, role clarity, and short practice between formal courses. It does not claim that CPRAIDR® certifies your CERT, meets any regulatory checklist by itself, or replaces accredited training.

Where AED coverage still leaves gaps

A lobby automated external defibrillator (AED) is essential. Multi-floor malls, back-of-house kitchens, gym studios, and staff areas often still have long walk-times to start high-quality CPR while someone retrieves the AED and calls 995.

Placement goal we discuss with facilities: about a ~30-second jog / ~one-minute round-trip walk to start CPR. Visibility and access beat locked cupboards. See wall-mount placement.

Practice cadence without heavy logistics

Annual courses matter. Skills still decay. VitalSigns states the CPRAIDR® training package includes a Compression Pad so staff can practise compressions without a full manikin — useful for short, frequent refresh drills CERT members and duty managers can actually schedule.

How CPRAIDR® sits beside existing AED / CERT plans

  • Different job from an AED — feedback on compression depth, rate/rhythm, release, and ventilation cues for training and emergency guidance.
  • Complementary — VitalSigns states CPRAIDR® can be used in parallel with defibrillators, does not interfere, and need not be removed.
  • Adult patients 18+ — not for children or infants as patients (manufacturer FAQ).

Immediate CPR can double or triple the chance of survival after cardiac arrest (American Heart Association / European Resuscitation Council public messaging). That is chain-of-survival context for planning — not a CPRAIDR® efficacy claim.

What we do not claim

  • No CERT certification, SCDF approval, or regulatory-compliance product claims.
  • No survival guarantees or “clinically proven” outcome language.
