Hotel and Food and Beverage CPR readiness in Singapore

Plan the first minutes across guest areas, kitchens, service corridors, function rooms, and upper floors.

Updated: 11 September 2026 · Singapore-first · Claim-safe reseller copy

Hospitality footprints have different response zones

A Singapore hotel or Food and Beverage (F&B) venue can include a lobby, restaurants, kitchens, ballrooms, guest floors, loading areas, plant rooms, and back-of-house (BOH) corridors. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at reception is useful, but teams should also test who starts CPR and how equipment reaches each zone.

Map the first-response roles

  1. Who calls 995 and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)?
  2. Who starts CPR in the guest or staff zone?
  3. Who fetches the nearest Automated External Defibrillator (AED)?
  4. Who manages lift or access-control delays?
  5. Who meets responders at the correct entrance or loading point?

Write the roles on short zone cards for front office, security, kitchen, banquet, engineering, housekeeping, and Food and Beverage (F&B) teams. A brief walk-through can expose access gaps that a lobby-only plan misses.

Measure real walk-time

Walk the complete return route from each high-occupancy or remote zone to the nearest Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Include locked doors, staff lifts, guest lifts, stairs, security access, and handover time. Record the result rather than relying on a floor-plan estimate.

Use public guidance as context, not a product claim

American Heart Association (AHA) public education emphasises early CPR. European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines describe early recognition, early CPR, and early defibrillation as linked steps.

The American Heart Association (AHA) and European Resuscitation Council (ERC) references are planning context only. They are not evidence that CPRAIDR® or any CPRAID product changes survival or clinical outcomes.

Keep practice short and operational

  • Use short refresh practice between formal courses.
  • Run scenarios during different shifts and staffing levels.
  • Separate Automated External Defibrillator (AED) inspection records from CPR practice records.
  • Repeat drills when layouts, access rules, or team roles change.

How CPRAIDR® fits

CPRAID is the Singapore reseller of CPRAIDR® from VitalSigns Innovation AB (Sweden). CPRAIDR® is a dual-use CPR assistant for short staff practice and real-time compression guidance in an emergency. It complements Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programmes; it does not replace defibrillation. Intended for adult patients 18+. Never attribute survival or clinical outcomes to CPRAIDR®.
